Presentation Night

(NEW 15 May 2026)

Next Thursday (21 May) sees our final event of the season: the Presentation Night and quiz at Our Lady’s Social Club.  The quiz presented by Greg Spiller of Smart Alex will start at 8.30 p.m. promptThere will be a £1-per-person entry fee and guest teams are very welcome.  As always it would be good to see as many teams as possible in attendance and please remember to bring a raffle prize.  The usual reminder about parking: it is rather limited outside the club, so you may need to use the car park at the top of Mercian Way.

New champions again!

(7 May 2026)

Newly crowned league champions Smart Alex completed a memorable week last night, as their victory against the Albert of the Withington League saw them win the WIST Champions Cup for the first time.  This long overdue win for the Stockport League–our last winners were Travellers Call in 2017–means Smart Alex are the undisputed quiz champions of South Manchester.

New champions

(1 May 2026)

Last night’s 59-56 win in the Edgeley local derby saw Smart Alex crowned league champions, reclaiming the title from last season’s winners, the Alexandra.  Scores from all last night’s league matches are here.
